Alcohol is considered a factor in a fatal single-vehicle collision north of Carman Saturday morning.

At approximately 1:20 a.m officers from the Carman RCMP detachment received a report of a collision that occurred on Highway 13, three kilometres north of Carman.

Officers determined a pickup truck driven by a 43-year-old male from Elm Creek was travelling northbound on Highway 13 when the vehicle rolled. The driver was ejected from the truck and pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt, and alcohol is considered a factor in the collision.

Emergency crews responded to a single vehicle collision north of Carman on Highway 13 early Saturday morning. The highway was closed from about 1:30 a.m. until 6 a.m. according to Manitoba Infrastructure and Transportation's Twitter page as traffic was rerouted around the scene, and crews dealt with the incident.

There's no word at this time on how many people were inside the vehicle, or the circumstances related to the collision.
