The Franklin Museum in Dominion City has added a special agricultural display, which will be open to the public on Canada Day.

Aside from the war and school history, the museum has in the exhibition, they have added history about local farms in celebration of Canada 150.

"We decided to go along with the farms in the area because there are so many that have been around for over 100 years... we thought that would be a good thing to honour," said museum volunteer Donna Mae Unverrich.

Many of the documents, photos and books on display were donated by local families, some of which still work on the same farm as they did when Dominion City was first established in the late 1800s.

Another artifact Unverrich said the museum will put on for display is a bronze sign of all the names of people in office in Dominion City between the 1880s and 1890s.

Unverrich encourages the community to visit the museum as it is only open throughout the summer months.

"It's all really worth looking at. Each item is really amazing, I think," said Unverrich.
