Gateway Resources held its annual meeting last week and recapped 2016 and looked forward to 2017. CEO Kim Nelson said the AGM was a chance for the organization to talk about the successes and challenges of the past year while looking ahead to the fiscal year at hand.

In 2016 Gateway completed a variety of capital projects. Some of the major projects include the cold storage room, changes to the sorting line, and completed three homes within the City of Morden.

Nelson said the homes are already complete and the participants are living in their new quarters already.

"It has been wonderful. Everyone is very excited to be living in their new homes," added Nelson. "The individuals were part of the process throughout the whole thing. Seeing it from demolishing the round house to what the houses are today has been wonderful."

Also discussed at the meeting was what is in the works for 2017.

"Doing the dinning room chairs and adding sound barriers in the dinning room. We are looking at adding some cement and getting some newer vehicles as well," concluded Nelson.
