Frontline healthcare workers continue to provide the best care possible despite the on-going challenges of COVID-19.

Amanda Wall, Client and Staff Coordinator for Heavenly Care Agency, explains their team has adapted to the changing health guidelines that have expanded on a nearly day-to-day basis.

Despite the stress placed on staff in the current health situation around the world, and the many risks and challenges, Wall says they know the work they're doing is important. "It's crucial, a lot of our clients wouldn't be able to stay in their home without us."

"It's a good feeling to give back to our communities in keeping our most vulnerable people safe," she adds.

"Heavenly Care agency along with the management team would like to express their deepest appreciation to their dedicated employees who despite the COVID-19 crisis continue to provide essential services to our clients," CEO and President Celma Pinto says. "To all essential workers your commitment, courage and perseverance have helped to slow the effects of this pandemic in Manitoba."

If anyone is looking for extra help living in their homes independently, Wall says they're open to starting the conversation.

"People who are more elderly don't want their independence taken away, they still want to do their day-to-day tasks in their same home... on their own schedule."
