The Christmas season was kicked-off  Wednesday with Plum Coulee's tree lighting, and Morden's on Friday.

Residents gathered to celebrate the annual lighting, enjoying conversation, hot chocolate, and get their photo's taken with jolly old Saint Nicholas.

The Eagle played Christmas music in Plum Coulee, had candy canes for kids, and caroling throughout the evening.

Morden celebrated the lighting with a show by Fun and Fire, bonfires to keep warm supplied by the Morden Fire Department, and fireworks to close the evening.

Both events were well attended and enjoyed by those who came.
