The year was highlighted by several successful fund raisers, the first being the annual Drive For Cancer in May raising $11,500 support of South Central Cancer Resource. Members from other clubs, and individuals from the public, joined members from Legends along the tour that took them east through Morris, Steinbach, Vita and back to Altona for a wind up BBQ at West Park Motors.

Then in August the club hosted its 16th annual Legends Charity Airport Drags. A full slate of racers and generous sponsors generated enough funds so that $7,000 could be donated to each of the charities selected to benefit from the event, South Central Cancer Resource and Genesis House.

Since 2011, the Legends Car Club has donated over $112,000 to South Central Resource. Cheque presentations were made at a banquet on November 17th in Altona.

In fact, the airport drag race event was so successful the club was able to help out a few more local organizations. The list included the Altona & Rhineland Fire Dept, The Altona Elks Club, The Bunker (Winkler) and the Youth for Christ (Morris).

Legends Car Club members hosted a number of other events throughout 2018, kicking the year off with a well-attended garage tour.

Then in July, the club hosted its 40th Show in the Park at the Altona Sunflower Festival which drew 168 entries.

The last cruise event of the year for the club was the Fall Run at the end of September where, again, members were joined by various individuals throughout Manitoba.
