Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in North America. Started in 1965 as a past time for all ages, the sport had a life of it's own.

The rules and court requirements are a combination of many of sports, including, but not exclusive to, tennis, ping pong, volleyball, and badminton.

The game of Pickleball was a part of the ALCOA 55+ Manitoba Summer Games held in Glenborro June 12th, where Morden residents, and brothers, Larry and Gerry Falk won silver this year.

Larry notes that the game is easy to pick up and a fun past time, with games lasting about 15 to 20 minutes. He explained that he started playing casual games about one and a half years ago, while Gerry started about six years ago. He also noted he and Gerry are a newer team, and they were happy getting that far in the tournament.

Most teams they had competed against had been together for four or five years, he explained, playing about five days a week.
