The Morden and Area Foundation (MAF) received a financial boost Tuesday afternoon thanks to Municipal Waste Managment (MWM).

"It means a lot to the foundation to see the support of the local businesses," said MAF Treasurer Allison Braun.

MWM donated $1,496 to the Foundation's endowment fund, which is used for MAF's annual granting.

Morden sales representative for MWM Larry Klein said for every recycling bin tipped by their trucks during the previous year, five cents were donated back into the community. This past year a total of 29,924 carts were tipped.

Klein said this is something the organization has done since coming to the community and they're looking forward to continuing the initiative.

He said they chose the Foundation because it benefits multiple charities.

"If you work in the community, you should give back to the community," said Klein.
