The Morden and Area Foundation (MAF) is in the midst of holding a number of coffee events to help spread the work of their services and how they can help the community.

"We're coming to remind people about community, how great Morden is, and find out stories from the people who live here," said MAF Executive Director Lynda MacLean.

MacLean said this is a great way for them to become more aware of what's happening in the community they serve and how they can serve their community the best.

Also this year the Foundation is celebrating a milestone. The quarter century or 25th year of operation. Instead of having people pay to come to an event at this time the Foundation has been coming to the residents to listen to their stories.

"This way whatever they chose to donate is going straight to the community instead of a Gala function or something like that," said MacLean.

Tuesday morning was the second of four coffee events and MacLean said so far they're going well.

"It's going very well because the word is getting out and people are sharing with us," said MacLean.

The last two events will be held at the following times and locations.

- Wednesday, February 21 - 2:30 pm in common room at Legion House #2
- Tuesday, February 27 – 9:30 am in the common room at Oak West Estates
