Your natural gas bill is about to go up.

The Public Utilities Board (PUB) has approved a rate increase application from Centra Gas Manitoba Incorporated.

As of August 1st, the cost of Primary Gas is going up from $0.0863 per meter cubed to $0.0932 per meter cubed. The new rate is projected to increase the bill for a typical residential customer by approximately 2.7% or $14/year. As the PUB notes, Primary Gas is sold on a cost-recovery basis without markup.

These revised rates will be reviewed again on November 1st of this year.
