A taste for nostalgia has prompted a Morden family to sell frozen treats through the Icecycle.

Sharing with her children on how a person sold ice cream and other frozen treats on a modified cycle, Danselle Neufeld says her kids were blown away by the concept.

"This was part of an idea that was born last year, and we were reminiscing about the old ice cream bikes of our childhood. We were explaining it to our kids, and their eyes just got big, and they couldn't comprehend ice cream on wheels, and ice cream coming right to your door."

After creating a page on Facebook and building some hype, the family is ready to begin selling their treats in Morden. Neufeld says people are excited to buy frozen treats from a roaming stand and to share their childhood experiences with their kids; for Neufeld, creating the Icecycle and involving her kids in the process has been fulfilling.

"It's really quite something, something special. It's something we remember from our childhood, it was something simple and happy, and we get to share this with our children now. Not only do they get to experience and see it, but they also get to be a part of it everything that we've made we've included our kids in."

Although the group hasn't officially had their first day of business, on June 1 they kicked off the excitement by inviting people to Morden park to give away 500 free treats.

Neufeld says her entire family is proud and enthusiastic to be a part of this experience and will be cruising around selling treats on the streets, at Morden lake, and ball diamonds in both Morden and Winkler.

Neufeld says her twin 11-year-olds are proud to be part owners of the ice cream bike business, as it's a pretty cool job to have as a kid that age.
