Morden Police have issued another warrant of arrest for 44 year old Jeffery Isaac Lee Dyck.

The Winkler resident is facing three counts of failing to attend court.

Other charges include theft, failing to comply with probation orders, possession and trafficking a controlled substance, and possession of property obtained by crime.

May 10th, 2017
Members of the Morden Police Service received a 911 call to a family dispute at a residence in Morden. Police responded to the residence and learned that two family members had got into an argument. One of the involved parties had already left prior to police arrival. Police spoke with the remaining family members and the situation had calmed down. No charges were laid as a result of this incident.

May 10th, 2017
Police received an emergency call of a two vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Highway 3 and Road 30 west of Morden. Police arrived on scene and assisted Morden Fire and Rescue who were already on scene. Police learned that a car travelling southbound on Road 30, attempted to make a eastbound turn on Highway 3, in front of a westbound Pickup truck. The occupants of the truck were treated and released by ambulance at the scene. The occupants of the car had to be extracted by firefighters and were transported to the Boundary Trails Health Centre for further treatment.

May 12th, 2017
Police received a report of a lost cell phone in the Morden Park on this date between 11:30am and 12:15 pm. The phone is described as a black Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. The cell phone also had the owners credit card, debit card and cash with it. If the phone is located police are asking the finder to contact the Morden Police Service to have it returned to its owner.

May 13th, 2017
On this date at around 2:30 in the morning, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for multiple violations. Police spoke with the driver and conducted checks of her drivers licence. Police learned that the driver was Suspended and the 26 year old female from Winnipeg was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for Driving While Disqualified. The vehicle was impounded for a mandatory 30 day period.

May 14th, 2017
Police were dispatched to a hang up call to a family dispute at a residence in Morden. Prior to hanging up on the operator, the caller had advised that they wanted an intoxicated family member removed from the residence. Police responded to the address and spoke with several individuals and learned that one of the individuals had a warrant of arrest from Winnipeg Police. Officers located the suspect attempting to flee out the back of the residence and were able to take him into custody. The suspect was arrested under the Intoxicated Persons Detention Act and police confirmed that there was a Warrant for his arrest. As a result, a 30 year old male resident of Morden was released on a Promise to Appear in Winnipeg Provincial Court in June.

Members of the Morden Police Service were conducting licence plate checks and discovered a vehicle that was unregistered due to a missed time payment. Police conducted a traffic stop and the driver was aware that the vehicle payment had not been made. Police conducted checks on his drivers licence and discovered he was a suspended driver. As a result, a 30 year old male was charged with Drive an Unregistered Vehicle, Drive While Disqualified and the vehicle was impounded for the mandatory 30 day period.

During this reporting period, police issued 15 Provincial Offence Notices to drivers. Out of those charged, 8 were for drivers caught using their cell phones while driving. Police remind the public that over and above the usual safety concerns, this ticket carries a penalty of $203.80 and points against their licence.
