Morris School and Rhineland Car teamed up this past Saturday to raise money for the school's library.

Every year the school has a program which allows students to visit the bookstore and choose books for the school's library. This year, students partnered with Ford to raise money with the Drive 4 UR School fundraiser.

The fundraiser encourages community members to visit the school to test drive a Ford vehicle. For each car driven, Ford donates $20 to the cause.

This is the 5th event that Rhineland Car and Morris School have teamed up on since the program's inception in 2010, raising $14,940 for the cause during that time. Overall, the Altona dealership has helped raise a total of $68,420 for school and community events throughout the region through the Drive 4UR School program.

Dianne Dekezel, the school librarian, said their goal was to raise the maximum amount of $6,000, but numbers are still being calculated.

"We totally appreciate anything we can receive, but we might as well shoot for the top," said Dekezel.

Last year they had over 200 test drives, which raised over $4,000.

UPDATE: $3,700 was raised at this year's event.
