Pembina Threshermen's Museum entertained many children during its annual Heritage Days Friday afternoon. In addition to the annual event, the Museum held a grand opening for its newest exhibit an animal taxidermy building.

"Because people come to look at their heritage, and my husband thought they would be a good fit in the museum," said Margret Dyck, whose husband harvested many of the animals on display in the new exhibit.

One of the teachers from Maple Leaf School in Morden, Ross St. Jean stated his students were happy to be able to see a variety of animals from across the world.

"The kids are very fascinated by all the different animals, by the ones who don't live here in Manitoba. Sometimes we only get to see them in books, and it's nice for them to get to see them up close like this," said St. Jean.

St. Jean noted most of the students were really fascinated by them, while a couple weren't quite sure what to think of the animals on the wall.
