No one was injured in a noon hour accident Friday in Altona.

Local police and fire were called to the scene behind a business on Centre Ave. where a large garbage truck had snagged a nearby telephone line, bringing it down. During this time the truck also hit an adjacent hydro pole but managed to avoid connecting with any power lines.

Repairs to the telephone line are expected shortly and Manitoba Hydro will swing by to assess the damaged hydro pole.
