Despite the cloud cover Monday afternoon, the Pembina Valley was witness to the best partial eclipse since 1963.

The astronomical event could be seen in the region between 11:38 a.m and 2:15 p.m, with peak coverage around 1:00 p.m.

While Southern Manitoba only saw peak sun coverage of 74 percent, those gathered in Nebraska were treated to a full solar eclipse.
