Some say it's all in a days work, however, the Morden Fire Department felt they needed to recognize the men who've given their time to the service.

The department recently unveiled its Wall of Honour; pictures of 46 men who served a minimum of two years.

"If you do some work for a particular project, you do a good job at it," Fire Chief Andy Thiessen says. "You complete the project and carry on and no one acknowledges you in any way, you kind of feel like something's missing."

Some of the men left the department upwards of 25 years ago, and though some may have forgotten their work, Thiessen says the department wants to make sure it doesn't forget.

The project has been in the works for over a year, and started after being inspired by a photo from another department in Alberta which recognized the work of one of its members.

Pictures of Morden's past members are on display at the Morden Fire Department.
