Effective 7 a.m. Wednesday, August 4, certain customers of the Municipality of Rhineland public water system will fall under a boil water advisory.

According to the public notice, scheduled maintenance to the water distribution system will lead to a brief disruption of water pressure at the GNS East reservoir and subsequently, the GNS West, Kronstal and Gretna water distribution systems.

Customers are asked to share this information with others hooked into the affected systems, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (ex: renters, tenants, staff, or clients).

The boil water advisory will remain in effect until the water supply no longer presents a risk to public health. Affected customers will be notified when that happens.
