The provincial K-to-12 education review Is underway, and one of the key members of the commission is Portage la Prairie MLA Ian Wishart.

He says they've been working hard on background material.

"Putting together some of the reference material that will be made available," he says, "Working on the website that will be launched shortly so that people can have a process to make comments on the K-to-12 review. And setting up a pretty ambitious schedule in terms of public meetings that'll be across the province."

Wishart stresses the review is wide-ranging, and they haven't set up a lot of parameters.

"So people will be able to express their point of view on the whole education system," he says, "The online stuff will be probably out before the first public meeting begins. But you'll have the opportunity both online, in an anonymous way, or to come to a public meeting. There'll also be written presentations from groups and associations."

Wishart notes the online component will likely be up and running before the first public meeting in early April.
