The R.M of Stanley has the second highest percentage of young people in Canada.

Beat out only by Mackenzie County in Alberta with 34.4 percent of their population in the 0-14 age group, Stanley sits in second with 33.3 percent.

Hanover and La Broquerie came in 6 and 7 respectively with 29.3 and 28.9 percent.

R.M of Stanley Reeve says young families are attracted to the region thanks to the employment options and great parks, camps and amenities like the Winkler Aquatic Centre.

Combined with high-quality health care services and low crime rates, it starts to make sense.

"You name it you got it," he says. "There's very few places you're going to find all of this in one spot."

Immigration continues to boost the percentages as well.

"We have a lot of young families from Europe and Mexico which are more likely to have young families, which is what they're used to," he says.

Families can also range from five to ten children.
