Theresa Guimond is the valedictorian for Roseau Valley School in Dominion City.

"My speech is going to consist of memories made as a class, the people we have to thank for helping us get to where we are today, and the people we have to remember," said Guimond.

She plans to move to Alberta after graduation.

"To attend Lakeland College to complete my Animal Science Technology diploma," explained Guimond. "They have an extremely amazing ag program out there."

She says the highlights of her grade 12 year consisted of winning two zone four banners, grad skip, and finally winning the House Team Trophy.

Guimond explained their high school is made up of four teams, the Spartans, Pirates, Knights, and Vikings, and this year the Spartans won through points earned during school activities.

As an active participant of the sports programs offered at RVS, Guimond took part in volleyball, basketball, cross country, soccer, badminton and track and field.

Classes she excelled at include accounting and physical education.

This year's Grade 12 class is made up of about 24 students, and the graduation theme is "Rock n' Roll". The song they've chosen to walk out to is "Don't Stop Me Now" by Queen.
