The search continues at Eden Health Care Services (EHCS) for a new CEO.

Interim CEO Ken Kroeker has stepped up until the board finds a replacement. At the organization's AGM on Thursday Kroeker notes he was chosen as the Interim CEO because of his past experiences Community Services Health Director at the Eden Mental Health Centre and working with Southern Health-Sante Sud.

In the mean time, EHCS continues to offer support for those on a mental health journey. Ryan Hildebrand, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for EHCS, explained this years total annual revenue is at approximately $14.4 million, with about $9.1 million from the main centre, and about $5.3 million from the other five centres.

Earl Reimer, the Director of Development for the Eden Foundation, spoke about how people have been giving because they want to give, further noting the hopes of a continuation in engaging with the public in the area, along with expanding the outreach of the Foundation.

Reimer explained he wants to allow the general public to know what is going on as much as possible, especially with a large amount of events that EHCS hosts, to aid in raising awareness of mental health.

Glen Klassen, a local author, wrote a book called "Hope, Healing and Community". Klassen spoke about the book being a chronicle of EHCS' 50 year history. The book was released during the 50th anniversary of EHCS last year.
