A flood warning remains in effect for the Pembina River. A second crest is expected at Neche, North Dakota this weekend, which has put the municipality of Rhineland on alert.

"Since we can't raise the Border Road, but we do have our staff monitor so that we are ready to repair any breach."

The Pembina River hit a record 22.45 feet last weekend when it crested, but the U.S. National Weather Service is forecasting the second crest to hit 21.5 feet on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the flood warning has been lifted for the Morris River and the flood watch has been lifted for the La Salle River as both have crested and flows are decreasing.

The Roseau and Red rivers have also crested.
