A 47 year old male from Rosenfeld has died as the result of a single vehicle rollover in the early morning hours of Sunday.

Morden RCMP responded to the scene in Rosenfeld on Main Street near the corner of Highway 14 around 1:45am. Investigators believe a northbound vehicle with two occupants, the 47-year-old male who died and  a 47-year-old female, lost control of their vehicle, rolled, and collided with a tree on a yard on the west side of the street.

Both individuals were from Rosenfeld.

The male was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the female occupant was taken to hospital in serious condition.

The occupants were not wearing seatbelts, and alcohol and speed are being investigated as possible factors in the collision.

Officers from the Morden RCMP along with an RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate.
