RCMP report a spree of five break-ins took place in the small community of Lowe Farm earlier this month.

The incidents involved theft of property from either sheds or garages, and are believed to have occurred in the early morning hours of April 5th.

A majority of the stolen items were power tools. Among them was also a vintage 1977 Honda 50cc mini-bike.

Due to the close proximity of the residences, RCMP Media Relations Officer Sgt. Paul Manaigre says they believe it's likely the thefts are related.

"This is absolutely a good reminder to everyone that crime can happen anywhere, anytime, and to anyone," Manaigre says. "And that security precautions should be put into place to protect your property and yourself."

He notes it's good practice to keep a list of your possessions, even creating photographic records and storing serial numbers of high value items in a safe place to aid officers during an investigation, adding stolen property can be recovered on occasion.
