A Boil Water Advisory was issued June 8th for Town of St. Jean residents and those north of town along the service road.

RM of Montcalm CAO Jolene Bird said tests are being run, and the advisory should be lifted some time this week.

"The advisory went into place due to a line break right near our reservoir and water treatment plant in St. Jean. The repair has been completed, and the water is back flowing properly, we're just waiting on testing to come back."

She said to boil the water if you are ingesting it, but showering, watering plants, and washing clothes is fine.

"We were asking people to refrain from watering their lawns or their gardens, just so we weren't putting to much pressure on the plant when it was working at reduced capacity... but that is resolved," explained Bird.
