As the 2017 Winkler Harvest Festival weekend draws closer, so does the completion of the main stage renovation project. Festival backstage and hospitality director Eva Harder says they've been told the stage will be ready for use for the event in August.

"Really excited that we are going to have permanent changing rooms and permanent bathrooms," said Harder. "It's just going to be so impressive when artists see it. They were impressed with some of the stuff we have done for them before, but this is just going to be amazing."

The need for this renovation stemmed from the need for more space.

"I was really impressed. I was amazed with the amount of space we are going to have," said Harder. "We're not going to have to look for another corner to put something. It'll look and be impressive. I think it will be really good."

Harder noted the seating area will not be affected by this renovation as the majority of the work is being done to the behind the stage front.

The Harvest Festival will be held August 11-13th.
