Spring road restrictions for all municipal village roads in the R.M. of Stanley go into effect today.

Reeve Morris Olafson says all municipal village roads are now restricted to 65% of normal weights. One time conditional permits may be considered early in the restriction period.
"In all our villages, where we have pavement, we put a load restriction on in the spring to coincide with provincial restrictions."

Details regarding permits are available at the R.M. office.

Meantime, Olafson says commercial truck traffic is also asked to respect the vulnerability of rural gravel roads during this time and reduce their speed. "If you're going to go with a loaded truck down a municipal road, slow right down . . . to even 50 km/h. It saves our roads by leaps and bounds."
