A teenage girl was sent to the hospital last week after being struck by a vehicle.

On February 14, Morden Police Service was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. Police say a vehicle was travelling northbound on Buhler Dr. near the Minnewasta Golf Club.

Police say the driver noticed two girls on the roadway and despite attempting to stop the vehicle struck one of the pedestrians. The teenager was transported to hospital with a leg injury.

No charges are anticipated, police say, as road conditions were a major factor in the incident.

As the pedestrian is a youth, police will not be releasing any additional information on her injuries.
