The Winkler Community Foundation (WCF) is bringing back the Vital Signs community survey this year.

The last time the survey was completed was in 2012, shortly after the 2011 census was conducted across Canada.

By bringing back the survey, the WCF is able to see how far Winkler has grown and developed.

A new youth survey is being introduced this year. The development for this section was aided by a high school student as well, along with other consultations across Winkler for the other parts of the survey.

For both the adult and youth surveys, there are three main regions:

1) The overall quality of life,
2) The priorities in life, and
3) The background/demographic of the people taking the survey

Karina Cardona, the Administrative Coordinator at the WCF, notes that these surveys can be taken anonymously online.

The information that is provided will be used by the City of Winkler, the RM, the Chamber of Commerce etc., to help develop different propgrams for children/youth, and help focus on where people want and need help. A comment section is available at the end for any other useful information to be provided.

The survey will be finishing on Thursday, June 15th. Surveys are also available at City Hall.
