Well loved roaster Other Brother Roasters, were able to open their doors to customers at their official grand opening.

Erin Plett owner of the store and her family invited customers to join them for complimentary coffee, dessert, and to celebrate the ribbon cutting of their new store location on Kimberly Road, Winkler, Saturday.

Other Brother Roasters first started back in 2012, Plett explains it was kind of “faceless”, only interacting with customers through e-mail or text. Now she’s excited to do it face-to-face.

"Now I'm in front of my customers, I can actually meet them. After every week I've been texting them asking if they need some coffee. It’s nice to meet my customers, they can ask questions, and get freshly roasted coffee right away."

When the roaster first started it was actually an evolution of Plett’s husband Sam’s hobby.

She says they started roasting on a popcorn popper and it slowly grew and evolved from there.

Plett says for those who have never been to the store, there’s something for everyone.

"First of all it smells fantastic, so just come here for aromatherapy purposes. We have all kinds of coffee for anybody, any-kind of dark-roast person, light-roast, decaf."

The store has in-house fresh roasted coffee, loose leaf tea, and coffee and tea brewing supplies.

Teas and coffee are from all over the world; Mexico, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Colombia, all are ethically sourced explains Plett.

She says you know that they've done their homework to get you the best coffee in the best way possible.

Plett wants to thank all here customers, retailers, and businesses that have continuously supported them, helping make their dream a reality.
