Winkler Physiotherapy is celebrating its first anniversary at its new Winkler location, but rather than spend money on cake and prizes, they've made a pair of donations.

Winkler Physiotherapy's Ashley Froese explains they wanted to support the on-going exercise and fitness classes at Central Station.

"We thought, "what better way to support some of our patients and community members that need to stay active but may not have the financial means to buy a gym membership?'"

Central Station Volunteer Coordinator Julie Nikel says the $1,500 support from the business community is encouraging. "We've been supported so much, and it's increasing, which means we can do more and support more people in turn."

Froese says they also chose Pregnancy Care Centre as a reflection of the support their Women's Health and Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy program has experienced, "and we wanted to continue to support the work they're doing do provide assistance and education to pregnant women."

Angeline Hoeppner, Counselor and Pre-natal Instructor with Pembina Valley Pregnancy Care Centre explain it's especially encouraging to hear that other organizations are aware of their work and are on board with the vision.

Winkler Physio also presented a donation to Angeline Hoeppner and Kathy Fehr of the Pembina Valley Pregnancy Care Centre.
