Buck Pierce completed six of 10 passes for 105 yards and touchdown as the Winnipeg Blue Bombers won their CFL pre-season opener 34-10 over the Montreal Alouettes. Pierce, who started the game and played just over 15 minutes, threw a 26-yards touchdown pass to Brock Ralph. He also carried the ball three times for 34 yards. Steven Jyles was good on two of eight pass attempts for 42 yards and did throw an interception. Jyles did run the ball five times for a team-high 54 yards. Fred Reid, Daryl Stephenson and Emmanuel Marc all had rushing touchdowns while Alexis Serna kicked two field goals. Winnipeg will play it's final pre-season game Sunday in Hamilton against the Tiger-Cats.
