The Winkler Storm dropped a 2-1 decision to Grant Mill Sword last night in Winnipeg. The Storm played well in the opening 30-35 minutes and in the last fifteen.  In the 23rd minute, Phil Unruh took a pass on the left side and crossed the ball to Reinaldo Oliveira, who tapped it in.

Just before the half, Grant Mill scored their first goal from a mix-up in front of the Storm net. Grant Mill controlled the play for the first 30 minutes, and scored on an attempt to cross from the left side.  That seemed to wake the Storm up, and they created several good scoring chances, but none went in the net.

With starting Keeper Andreas Ediger out with an injury, Ben Plett returned to the Storm as keeper.  Jeremy Hamm was also unable to play due to an injury.  Unlike last year, they have plenty of good quality players on the bench.

The Storms record in the Manitoba Major Soccer League's Premier Division II is now 0-2-2 as they prepare to host Scotia United next Wednesday.
