Tiger Hills Softball has a new U11 East Champion.

Altona Angels White U11 swept in all three of its games at the tournament this past weekend in Morden.

Starting out as 4th seed having finished the season with a 4W-3L record, Angels White played Morden Mudhens Maroon in their first game, winning 7-5.

They were back on the diamond Saturday morning to face the Morden Mudhens Gold team. Angels White took the win by a score of 10-6. Feeling strong they headed to the gold medal game knowing it would be a tough battle against Winkler Dynamite. Angels White fought hard and earned the "W" - final score 7-6.

"Congratulations to the players and coaches for your hard work this season and the parents too for all your support," noted an Altona Minor Softball statement.

On the consolation side, it was the Altona Angels Blue team finishing on top.

The team also had a strong season with a 4W-2L-1T record and began the tournament as 3rd seed. Losing their first game on Friday night dropped them to the B-side where they battled back and posted two consecutive wins, finishing the year as U11 East Consolation winners.
