People in and around the town of Morris had to boil water for a couple of days if they planned to consume it.

A public notice was issued on Tuesday that advised water was to be boiled for the Town of Morris Public Water System. The notice explained that a distribution pump failure on May 31, 2022 had led to the loss of water pressure in the Town of Morris distribution system.

Distribution depressurization can compromise the safety of the water supply; therefore, a boil water advisory was issued to ensure public health protection.

The town has now announced on it's Facebook page that the town water "has been tested and meets all conditions for rescinding the boil water advisory. There is no longer a need to boil water before consuming."
