Laurent Brossoit made 29 saves with the biggest of the game being a huge pad save off a Johnny Gaudreau snapshot from 15 feet out with 17 seconds left in regulation to preserve the Winnipeg Jets 3-2 victory over the Calgary Flames Tuesday night at Bell MTS Place.

Trevor Lewis, Derek Forbort and Nikolaj Ehlers with his sixth of the season did the goal scoring for Winnipeg.

Lewis scored a shorthanded goal 6:40 into the first period and Forbort made it 2-0 for the Jets just 30 seconds later.

Matthew Tkachuk had both goals for the Flames. His second of the night at 10:53 of the third period cut Winnipeg’s lead to 3-2.

Calgary netminder David Rittich faced 28 shots.

The Jets (6-3-1) wrap up their seven-game homestand Thursday night when they play their third of four in a row against the Flames.
