Residents in and around Dominion City will soon be able to cross the Roseau River.

Manitoba Highways has agreed to install a Bailey bridge about a mile East of Dominion City.

The prefabricated structure, often used by the military, will allow traffic to resume North and South across the river.

Franklin Reeve Archie Hunter says he is pleased with how quickly the province is moving on this.

Engineers are trying to determine how to repair the bridge along PR 200.

Crumbling infrastructure in the RM of Franklin has almost isolated the municipality.

The RM continues to lobby the province for a new bridge over the Red River along PR 201.

That structure has significant weight restrictions on it, which is impacting the transportation of goods and services to the region.
