Lake Minnewasta Campground Manager Brian Thiessen advised those going on the ice to use caution. As of Monday, the ice measured 23.5 inches, Thiessen noted, but not all ice surfaces are the same.  A 4-foot hole cut in the ice Monday night near the beach along with several drilled ice fishing holes, hadn't frozen over by Tuesday.

People have been driving down to the beach from the north parking lot which shouldn't be accessed by cars or trucks, reminded Thiessen.

Morden's Multicultural Winterfest has moved their Canadian pavilion activities to the Westside Church parking lot.
