Elmer's Manufacturing is set to be recognized by the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters.
    
The company, based just north of Altona, will be presented with the CME's Export Award at a gala dinner at the end of March. 
    
The Export Award celebrates a company that demonstrates excellence in expanding its market numerically and geographically.
    
In addition, A.D. Plett, the founder of Westfield Industries in Rosenort, will posthumously receive the CME's Pioneer Award. 
    
The award celebrates individuals who began a manufacturing business in Manitoba and nurtured it into a successful company
    
Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters is the country's oldest and largest national trade and industry association. 
    
In Manitoba, CME works with manufacturers to help them grow with support and resources in the areas of leadership & executive support, lean & productivity, advanced manufacturing & innovation, trade & business development, workforce development, advocacy & intelligence, future workforce, safety and networking.

Also being recognized are Steve Kroft (CONVIRON) receiving the Hall of Fame Award. Micro Tool & Machine LTD. (MTM) wit the Emerging Award, and Todd Leroy of Loewen Windows with the Safety Leadership Award.
