The long time Executive Director of the Manitoba Rural Adaptation Council has retired.

Bob Hoffman was appointed to the founding council in 1996, and in 1999 took over as executive director.

He says the job was the type that felt like he was starting a new one every day.

Hoffman notes you never knew what was going to come across your desk.

A new executive director has been hired to take over for Hoffman.

Terry Hayward, a former Executive Director of the National Farm Products Council in Ottawa, will be taking on the position.
