Harvest continued in South-central Manitoba last week, with long season crops the only thing left in field.


This week’s Manitoba Agriculture crop report states most soybean fields are harvested with yields varying from 15 to 50 bushels per acre.


Potato harvest is progressing very well, with yields generally average to above.  


Sunflower harvest has begun with yield reports of 1500 to 3000 pounds per acre.


Buckwheat harvest is close to complete.


Grain corn harvest is moving forward with good yields to date.


Fall fertilizing has begun, with most progress in the east.
