Some good news for Menonite Church Canada.

The organization reported surplus of $114,000 for 2006.

This is the first surplus since 2002.

Executive Director Jack Suderman is pleased with the bottom line, however they are remaining cautious.

Congregational donations are actually down while individual and corporate donations are up.

For 2007 they are projecting the same amount of revenue, but are not yet including the extra income they received.

So far this year they are slightly ahead of what they projected and are hoping for another good year.

Mennonite Church delegates met this past week in Edmonton.
