Today could be the beginning of Winter.

Dale Marciski with Environment Canada says most areas in Manitoba will receive up to 10cm of snow some will see up to 20.

He adds because of the cooler temperatures and the amount of snow expected, the snow may not melt.

Marciski says this amount of snow is a bit unusual for the end of October.

Certain areas could be setting one-day snow fall records.

Marciski says there will be a bit of wind to blow the snow around slightly, but not blizzard conditions.

He adds the snow is expected to end by tonight.
