With 32 entries this year's Innovation Showcase will feature a wide variety of innovative ideas and concepts that feature the newest in technology and products at the 2024 Ag Days, taking place at the Keystone Centre this week!

Ag Days Office Manager, Christine Roskos, says they're thrilled to showcase products and ideas from across Canada and the United States. "Whether that be from someone's shop or on a global level, to highlight it at our show, we're very proud to be able to do that!"

"These entrepreneurs and their new products get a large coverage and recognition in our show publication, in our social media campaign, as well as at the show," she notes. 

Roskos says in order to qualify for the Innovation Showcase, the new product must be approved by Manitoba Ag Days Innovation Committee.

Each innovation must be unique and new to the Manitoba market. A priority has been placed on innovations that are unique or significantly different from products that are currently available in the marketplace. 

"I hope we see everyone out at this year's Ag Days event, starting with our Produced on the Prairies tasting event tonight (Monday) at the Dome Building which is an inaugural event for us," invites Roskos.  "Or join us for our kickoff breakfast again at the Dome Building on Tuesday morning! And then there are three full days of programming and exhibitors.  Anything that has to do with agriculture is all under one roof!"

Best In Show - This award is presented to an exhibitor who really showcases agriculture at the show. They must be 100% PURE FARM, have a well thought out booth plan, work well with the Ag Days committee and exemplify exhibitor excellence.

Innovation Showcase Grand Prize Champion - Awarded to the finalist that the Judging Committee votes as the best innovation in 2023.

Innovation Showcase Farmer's Choice Grand Prize Champion - Awarded to the finalist that the Ag Industry votes as the best innovation in 2023.

This week's Innovation Showcase entries:

Ag Tech - Awarded to the company that has developed a new concept or technology that assists farmers and agriculture professionals with farming applications.

 

Agribusiness - Awarded to the company that has developed a new technology that assists farmers and agriculture professionals with the management of their farm business and clients. New Companies are also eligible in this category as a launching pad to highlight their business model.

 

Agriculture Equipment - Awarded to the company that has developed a new technology that assists farmers and agriculture professionals with the management of their farm business and clients.

Agronomics - Awarded to the company that has developed a new technology that improves crop production including innovation in genetics, pesticide application (non-mechanical), and the process of producing a crop.

 

Animal and Livestock - Awarded to the company that has a new technology that assists in the health and well-being of livestock animals.

Farm Built Solutions - Awarded to the exhibitor that has developed a concept or technology that assists farmers and agriculture professionals with farming applications. We are looking for the grassroot inventions in this category. If you like to tinker in your shop, garage or yard and have created something useful and progressive, we want you to be a feature of our show.

 

Farm Safety - Awarded to the company that has developed a new product that assists farmers and agriculture professionals with safety being of the utmost importance.
