RCMP is investigating after officers with the Stonewall detachment responded to a report of a phoned-in firearm threat made Wednesday morning towards Access Credit Union's branch in Teulon.

According to Manitoba RCMP, the report came in shortly after 10 a.m. this morning. Officers immediately attended and while the investigation took place, the local schools, which are close to the location, were placed in a hold and secure as a precaution. 

Ultimately, officers at the scene determined there was no credible threat to the business. As a result, the public was not deemed to be at risk.

Investigators are looking in to the origin of the phone call. 

The investigation is currently ongoing into the origin of the phone call.
