Winkler and Morden Police Services are investigating separate incidents related to the vandalism of a Pride-supporting vehicle and a Pride flag.

In Winkler, police say an investigation continues into a homophobic slur being spray painted on the tailgate of a white Dodge Caravan that was parked in a residential area of the city. The vehicle was decorated in support of Pride Month. According to police, the incident occurred sometime overnight between June 4th and 5th. Anyone with knowledge of the incident is asked to contact police.

Meanwhile, in Morden, police received a report Sunday of a Pride flag being ripped down that was hanging outside of a home.  It happened in the 100 block of 8th street, and it's believed the flag was taken down sometime overnight Saturday.  Police indicate this is a well-travelled area leading to downtown, and at this time there are no suspects.
