The Morden Chamber of Commerce has a resolution to be presented at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce annual meeting this weekend in Saskatoon.

President David Wilkinson says it has to do with the International Boundary Waters Treaty and how it relates to the Devils Lake situation.

Wilkinson says politics is playing too big of a role in situations like the Devils Lake drainage.

He says cooler heads need to prevail and a more in depth look needs to be taken on the situation.

Wilkinson says a serious look should be taken at the long, medium, and short term effects from the transfer of water from Devils Lake to the Red River Basin.

He says this would also include the potential and severity of pollution.
