Reeve on the Radio Thursday morning had Rhineland's Don Wiebe chatting with CFAM Radio 950 Morning Show Host Chris Sumner about a couple of projects... one now completed, and another a long-time coming that will soon be underway.

"Going back a bit, the most recent high water event, the Pembina River overflowed and it created serious erosion on the south side of the Border Road," reviewed the Reeve. "This damage qualified for a DFA (Disaster Financial Assistance) claim, almost $3,000,000, and at this point what it involves is restoring that south side with large rubble, and I'm pleased to announce this project is totally completed. This should prevent further erosion on that side."

And what about that long-time coming project?

"Council decided to upgrade the Rhineland welcome signs," he shared. "These signs will be larger. They'll be about four by six (feet). They will kind of reflect the colors of our logo, green and yellow, so if you see them, please take note."
