Showers yesterday will help the province's potato crop continue to mature.
Tom Gonzalves is a Potato Business Development Specialist with Manitoba Agriculture.
He says the crop is at very late stage tuberization or early bulking.
Gonzalves notes there are some regional differences in crop condition due to the recent lack of moisutre.
He adds western growing areas such as Shilo and Carberry generally have had more moisture compared to the Portage, Carman, and Winkler regions.
